Despite the difficulties, I felt a deep inspiration to create a fantasy narrative that readers could genuinely connect with—a story where, even amidst fantastical struggles, the human experience resonates. It is my hope that this book offers not only an escape but also a reflection of resilience and the power of finding one’s path.
At its heart, “Against the Crown” follows Maria, an orphaned “unclaimed fae” from Lockwood, a village in the north. Her life takes an unforeseen turn when she discovers an untapped strength, thrusting her into a rebellion against the tyrannical Faerian Queen.
